DESCRIPTION:
APW - Ball Waltham, extremely rare 19J with winding indicator, 16S, gold-filled OF Ball Model stirrup bow case with attractive engine turning and engraving detail to rear, white enamel triple-sunk dial, SW-LS, jeweled barrel, bull's-eye pattern nickel damascene, s#B235985. One of the most eye-catching and iconic of Ball Watch Co. rarities, the 19 jewel Ball Waltham with winding indicator is extremely rare and these were the only Ball pocket watches to have been produced with winding indicator function. Exact production is unknown and the small handful of examples we have seen have been scattered within the B234000s and B235000s serial ranges.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, some typical mild fine to micro-fine scratches, few small bits of oxide to smaller winding wheel; dial with outer chapter fractures between 11 and 12, patched edge chip above 11, patched chip to inner portion of outer chapter above left side of winding indicator, some small patched flaking or chips around central sink of winding indicator register, faint hl below seconds-register, extremely faint hl above seconds-register, tiny fractures to inner rim of outer chapter right of 10, very slim edge flake under bezel near 4; excellent hands; case with extra lever-set slot at 1, case shows light wear, scattered small nicks to band, no dents, reduced engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
